How can I not have a firewall on new install?

I’m looking to install Endeavour OS on a new system; however on my test install, I noticed two things I didn’t like.

I can manually remove them, but I’m wondering if there is a way I can just set them off in the installation launcher

1.) I don’t want a firewall installed. I don’t understand them really, and I’m worried it’ll cause problems with VPNS, network sharing, printing, and general use.

2.) I noticed on the icons-only task manager, there is a dead link to Discover. I couldn’t find Discover in the system, why is the link there? Is there a way to remove it?

Edit: Well I found you can deselect the firewall in the installation process. Still trying to figure out a way to get rid fo the Discover shortcut.

When you doing install you get list with checkboxes in installer, of specific packages being installed. You can just unsellect firewall there (what I am doing every time)

you unselected KDE EndeavourOS theming so it will use kde defaults including discovery link in the panel. remove it with rightclick if you do not want it there.

Or install the app if you want it.
