Currently you’ve got an air cooled heat sink with integrated heat pipes. Which is cooled by a single 120 mm fan.
You definitely don’t have a radiator. And no, your current CPU heat sink won’t be compatible with an AIO.
All I’m saying is … before you invest in a costly AIO. The air cooler I’ve mentioned should have better thermal cooling capabilities than the one you’ve got currently. And with approx. $40 it would be way more affordable than an AIO which would be $120 or so, I guess.
Nevertheless, before you buy that cooler. I would definitely check beforehand if the thermal paste is evenly spread currently. Maybe it’s not and that is your current issue. Furthermore, I would check if the mounting pressure is evenly distributed by the mounting screws. Also, I can’t really tell if you would have enough space in your case for the cooler I’ve mentioned which you should check beforehand.
I have always gone air cooled i.e. heat sink and fan. I really think your setup is likely sufficient. In my experience it is usually a bad paste job, bad paste or both.
tysm!!!
i just remembered something that i totally forgot and can be important. with both cpu fans i had my mobo emits a long beep, then four short beeps, and says cpu fan error, but i can boot as normal and never thought it was important. this beeps seem to say something about the fan
