You answered it yourself!
@nathaniel.krebs, welcome aboard!

So, let other peoples’ behavior dictate what software I use…? That’s just objectively ridiculous to say.
Welcome aboard. I am a vanilla Arch user, too. Spent some time on Obarun & Artix because of the “evil” systemd, but eventually back to Arch. I am trying to ignore the existence of systemd in the system. ![]()

Hi, @nathaniel.krebs have fun and enjoy the ride. I know of others who don’t use EOS, but who are present here and help if and when they can. I’m sure your knowledge of and experience with arch can be very valuable here as well.
Welcome! ![]()
Good to have you with us. There’s very little difference between Arch and Endeavour other than a few custom prebuilt apps, yay preinstalled, and wrappers that smoothen out the process. You’d be surprised at how much you can make a difference even with a basic level of knowledge. Enjoy the journey! ![]()
That is awesome that it comes prepackaged with yay; I haven’t even used other AUR helpers, but yay is my favorite for one simple reason: the lineage behind it. If you don’t know the history of “yet another yogurt,” you must do some Googling as soon as you can lol.
yay is awesome.
yep yay has displaced pacman and other aur utilities for me. Now only if yay were to have a QT based GUI frontend which would compete with octopi
Welcome aboard. As long as you get along with purple colour (and all its shades), you may stick around & enjoy the ride…

In fact, it is my favorite color. ![]()
I used to rarely use it, since I started using EndeavourOS I have become quite fond of it
