I am a long term user of Endeavour, I have had it installed for, ohh, about 2 months I think chuckles.
I was 100% linux for about 8 to 10 years, the first 2 or 3 Ubuntu of course, then manjaro. Then 3 years ago I bought a new decent pc and it came with that other OS installed, OS/ spyware infested mess whichever you prefer.
Well, I did not like that on day 1 and it only got progressively worse for 3 years, and finally snapped and deleted the partitions and discovered Endeavour. My previous linux use was very much as a user and the only CLI I did was copy and paste stuff to fix stuff, this time round I decided it is time to stop playing and actually start learning Linux and I have to say it has been such a wonderful journey so far on ENOS.
I am far from an expert, probably will always be far from an expert as my coding days dates way back to 68000 assembler on the Amiga 500, but I have written a few very handy bash scripts one of which allows me to pretty much create my own GUI for my ageing CCTV system using opendeck and Tacto.
I must extend my sincere thanks for this distro, I can honestly say it has been the exact opposite of the windoze 11 experience, I loved it from first boot, and every day since I love it a little bit more
Likewise, shortly after installing it on my “new” pc, I revived my old one from a dusty corner and put it into service as a headless server for samba share, media server, MQTT broker etc Light duties for the old man
Indeed, it started way back in 19ZX81, ahh fond memories of glueing computer and ram pack to a piece of plywood to prevent ram pack wobble spring to mind XD
