Hello from Oregon!

It’s been long road to get here but I installed Mercury and it was smooth as silk. No issues yet and getting the look and feel to my liking. I’m very pleased to finally say I run Arch you know. I’m nooby learning lots. Good forum

Curious. I’m from Oregun too :sunglasses: I wont ask where in Oregon you are from though; anonymity and all…I know. What is the closest river, or lake, to you? Oh, and welcome to the forum

Welcome @allewyn
You have landed on Mercury! It’s a great planet. Lots of purple people here.

IMO it s more of a lavender color. Purple is a bit darker. Actually, the way colors are categorized now a days purple is not even purple anymore.

@sempterobit Close to the Rogue River. Hyatt Lake and Lost Lake are equidistant. Thanks for the welcome

@UncleSpellbinder I waited until I really wanted to join. Happy now.

Hi, @allewyn , may the purple force be with you.

Welcome to the beginning of your lifelong Arch adventure! :enos:

Be sure to check out the Arch User Repository, known as the AUR, which has a lot of software packages you can install. I suggest getting an AUR helper, such as paru or yay to help you install packages from the AUR and to keep them up-to-date.

@jahway603 OK since you brought that up, I’m a nooby to arch and don’t really understand yay, pamac, etc. So, I’m investigating them but have only a couple of commands learned. Also learning Gparted! Thanks
