I feel like I should re-introduce myself… after a bit of enjoying Arch Linux the manual install way, I got to the point of tinkering where I “borked” (as my young kids say) my system and setup…
Having used all the main distros in the past, I was looking into going back to Debian or Fedora, but I have gotten hooked on the rolling-release nature of Arch, as well as the simplicity of the system not having a bunch of bloat already installed, which just removed one level of customization I needed to handle.
Where Arch removed the step of uninstalling all the bloat that comes with other distros I’ve used, it also added all the steps of putting things where I want for my workflow and customizing to my liking. Nothing wrong with that fact, except that Linux is not my hobby, I just want a good Linux system… and preferably based on Arch.
Hence, out of my desire to be lazy and yet have my Arch system back without the need to tinker right away, I fired up my EndeavourOS USB and installed right away. I just feel that I have to put another intro through here, because Endeavour completely blows me away again with it’s simplicity, elegance, and of course always super friendly community. I settled on KDE Plasma again instead of my usual Xfce4 setup. I also just decided to use the workflow Plasma offers and NOT tinker. The theme that Endeavour folks built is phenomenal, all I wanted to do was change the wallpaper.
So… Hello! TruckinManDan returning to the AMAZING world of EndeavourOS and not making the mistake of leaving again. Forgive me for straying from the Purple Glow of Wonder!
