I saw this a few weeks ago. she was forced to resign her (state) senate seat, I believe, since she became a convicted felon a few days ago.
her story goes she put on creeper clothes (police slang) to ‘retrieve’ a few items of her father’s that were at the residence of her deceased father’s wife, who she didn’t get along with. Or something.
There was two blondes from Rhode Island wasted and belligerent in a bar one week ago, one who is state attorney general(-ish?) and plead their privilege til the cows came home til the cops said “I don’t give a shit.”
The creeper above was more contrite in the end.
As an independent who loathes both sides (they are both the same), it’s all pretty good theater when the powerful stoop this low 
This is the reason because of which she was forced to resign? Seriously? There are other felons in Washington DC right now who have done worse. Or condoned worse.
