Have a great 2026, dear Endeavournauts!

Our best wishes and yearly retrospect are a bit later than you’re used to. To be honest, my inspiration to write this piece was in a land far, far away. But somehow, on the last day of 2025, my brain suddenly opened the creative tap wide open. So, here it is.

Me having lack of inspiration and suddenly getting ignited at the last moment kind of sums up this year for the entire project. 2025 wasn’t our most shining year in terms of releases, server outages and major upstream issues.
Of course, I can sum up all the setbacks and kind of dwell on each, but I’m not going to do that. Not because I’m trying to wave the issues away and pretend it wasn’t a big deal. No, nothing like that!
But why do that when it already is documented, and most importantly, I see no merit in being Debbie Downer on the last day of the year.

No, I want to take this opportunity to shine the spotlight on that special part of the project that shone, fought, excelled and thrived like a Rocketeer!!!

You, the entire Endeavour community!!!

In six years, we established to create a purple space in the Linux universe. And this year proved that the project is more than its release schedule. No, that is just a fraction of it. It all comes down to the people who carry the love forward, and my, oh my, did you carry that love this year!!!

I wrote it time and time again, but this project is a labour of love for the entire team, and with that, it takes time to do so.
Today, I want to acknowledge the time YOU, the entire community on this forum or on our Telegram, invest every single day.
The time that you could easily spend elsewhere, but instead you find that precious time to help a newbie, a fellow veteran user whose system broke down after an update or simply share your thoughts, jokes or artwork.

That precious time all of you have invested here makes EndeavourOS what it is today. Even Distrowatch’s Jesse Smith acknowledged you being the best part of this distro.

Our appreciation for the precious time you are investing in us can’t be expressed in words. We, the entire team, all wish you all the best of luck, life and love for 2026!
And we hope we can spend a lot of quality time together in the new year and beyond…

Thank you Bryan, here’s wishing you and yours all the happiness in the world.
You and the team have created something rather unique here, you really have, it’s so many things to so many people… very special.
Every year is the year of EndeavourOS. :purple_heart:

I will copy and paste my message from the other thread as there are two end of year topics.

I hope everyone has a great new year, currently my second new year on the forum and Linux.

Hopefully 2026 will be better, :fireworks: :firecracker::collision:

Nice post @Bryanpwo. Endeavour is a great os and it stopped me from looking @ other distro’s. You and your team made a smart choice 6 years ago and i am happy you guys did that.

Keep this distro rocking, thanks again for all the hard work you guys put into it and we all can enjoy it!
