Other news: I recently kicked the tires on Fedora 42 KDE and found a fresh install to have about 45 systemd services running. This EOS KDE install by contrast had about 17.

Just now getting back to this! The laptop is a T14 (Gen 1 Intel). I’ve heard the AMD variants have better battery life, but I’m not complaining. I kept it from an old job.
