GUI for rsync

It’s 6 years since I updated my gui for rsync called jotasync in the aur.
Until now there were not any public releases to mention since then.

Today however, I released a brand new version with a new name, now it’s called nbRsync.

I’m mainly on Fedora now so I thought I should ask here if anyone would like to pick it up and replace jotasync, before I just remove/abandon it.

I’m happy to help in any way I can with regard to the program or the java specifics.

An AppImage can be found on the release page.

Some of the places where the old one exists.

I’m one of the those people who that use grsync for my backups–instead of the high-end stuff–how does yours differ? thanks!

edit: what’s the difference between the any.zip and the linux.zip or am I better off with the tarball on Endeavour?

As visible from the screenshots perhaps, grsync was the source of inspiration for me while scratching my own itch.
I think the concept of jobs and tasks in nbRsync differs from grsync, and also how the options are handled. I try to stay close to the CLI notion.
The built in (cron) server and and flexible configuration management are also nice.

That said, I have not used grsync for many years so I dont know how it has evolved.

The ‘any’ is without java runtime.
