Hello friends,
I am new to the forums here, but a long time “techie.”
I started my journey like most, using Windows as my primary OS. I did use Ubuntu for a bit, and then RHEL/Fedora when I was in college.
When I progressed in my career I touched a lot of OS’s; HP-UX, AIX, OS/2, VMS/OpenVMS, etc.
I picked up a OrangePi board and went through several flavors of Linux and landed on BredOS as my favorite ARM Distro.
Recently, I decided to “revive” an old DELL Latitude E7450 Laptop and I wanted to stay on an Arch based distro, I stumbled on EndeavourOS and haven’t looked back. ![]()
I’m still getting used to using pacman/yay vs apt from debian based distros, but so far it’s been a great experience. I’ve browsed the AUR and flatpak repos as well, from what I have gathered it’s “install at your own risk.”
I can’t wait to learn more on my Linux journey!
