Google-Chrome Tabs can no longer moved

Google-Chrome Version 97.0.4692.71

Since the previous update I can no longer move (order) tabs inside a google-chrome window, so if I move a tab it opens in a new chrome window (Instance).

I don’t have google-chrome but in chromium (Version 97.0.4692.71) it seems to work as it should.

this error i got - manjaro and Endeavour OS after update

I use Brave on my Kubuntu 20.04 machine and that’s based on the same Chromium version. I see the problem OP describes.

But I can still move tabs via the keyboard (Ctrl+PgUp or Ctrl+PgDn).

maybe an issue with the Plasma Integration ext. for Google-Chrome Version 97.0.4692.71 …

Happens also in Gnome+Chrome combo

What does this say:
pacman -Q chromium

Just got this:

Package (1) Old Version New Version Net Change Download Size

extra/chromium 97.0.4692.71-1 97.0.4692.71-2 0,00 MiB 81,15 MiB

I see the same issue with chromium too …
FireFox works

ok, I have updated chromium to Version 97.0.4692.71 now it works w/ chromium
but still same issue with google-chrome stable

Chromium 97 has a regression which breaks many mouse-tab interactions. The fixes are in git, but google have declined to backport them to 97. Would you mind backporting? Thank you!

That is not the official package which isn’t fixed as Google isn’t interested on backporting them

No issues for me google-chrome
Version 97.0.4692.71 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I have switched (migrated) to chromium … unfortunately chromium security updates are not as fast as google-chrome, but everything works so far!
