Gnome Boxes invalid PCI address

Greetings,
Fresh install with Gnome boxes. Guest is Win11.
Cannot start anymore after clean shutdown due to an invalid pci address.

XML error: Invalid PCI address 0000:03:00.0. slot must be >= 1

Searched on the internet but to no avail. Any help is much appreciated.

Clean shutdown of the host, or the guest? Did you manually edit the XML in question? Post the full file here, please.

Tried to change the slot to 1. but then defining the xml file gets me error where it requires slot >=0.

step 1 - virsh dumpxml win11 > win11.xml
step 2 - Modified slot in <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x03' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> to slot 1.
step 3 - virsh define win11.xml
Tried to start gnome boxes and getting error error: XML error: Invalid PCI address 0000:03:01.0. slot must be <= 0

step 4 - back to slot 0 and defining is Ok. But cannot start the VM since its telling me XML error: Invalid PCI address 0000:03:00.0. slot must be >= 1

Very confusing. If stot 0 is no good, shouldn’t I be stopped when running ‘virsh define’ ?
