Getting the following error when ran nvidia-settings (running endeavour os gnome on xorg)

ERROR: nvidia-settings could not find the registry key file or the X server is not accessible. This file should have been installed along with this driver at /usr/share/nvidia/nvidia-application-profiles-key-documentation. The application profiles will continue to work, but values cannot be prepopulated or validated, and will not be listed in the help text. Please see the README for possible values and descriptions.

let me check… will need to reboot into gnome …

/usr/share/nvidia/nvidia-application-profiles-535.113.01-key-documentation

is there …

check:
ls /usr/share/nvidia/nvidia-application-profiles-535.113.01-key-documentation

if you are using nvidia-utils 535.113.01-2

and show the output of:

pacman -Qs nvidia

partly updated system…

nvidia package is not latest version.

extra/nvidia 535.113.01-5 (43.7 MiB 43.7 MiB)
    NVIDIA drivers for linux

And for future replies… if the output is short simply post as text and not use screenshot to post text please… This makes it hard for helpers to research.

We have code tags here:

And eos tools to the rescue:

pacman -Qs nvidia | eos-sendlog as example would pastebin the output and give back a short url you can post… for longer outputs indeed short ones can get into code tags…

try updating system to have the latest nvidia package…
