currently i’m using TB for email but tried Geary and i like it , it’s simple.
only problem is i have a couple of accounts and 1 is with MS outlook ,that seems to doesn’t gel with geary. I put in my email and password when setting up new account and it keep saying email/password wrong , even though it’s right .
I’ve searched and seems Geary doesn’t work with MS exchange servers ?
Any1 know a workaround ?
(I’m on Mint , not that it should matter regarding desktop email clients for linux )
Some old info [1] seems to suggest that Geary can work (or used to) with outlook exchange provided IMAP and SMTP “protocol connectors” are enabled.
To connect to a Microsoft Exchange server (Outlook.com, Office365, or local institution installations), the Exchange installation must have both its IMAP and SMTP “protocol connectors” enabled. These are enabled for Outlook.com and Office365, and hence Geary can connect to those services. There are no plans to support Microsoft’s proprietary mail access protocols going forward. Thus if the IMAP connector is not enabled for your Exchange installation, please get in contact with your Exchange administrators and ask them to enable it.
