This is great news!

I’ve heard it suggested Valve may have also played a part in putting the pressure on, given this silly long-standing issue would otherwise impact their upcoming Steam Machine.

Per this comment from a prominent AMD Linux developer, it looks like a full HDMI 2.1 implementation for AMDGPU could be coming!

And now there are rumors popping up that Valve is stocking up on new “consoles”, which could be the new Steam Machines. What a coincidence! :smiley:
