I recently stumbled upon this post that spoke of FSR4 Support on 90 Series GPUS and was wondering if anyone has tried this and how it runs?

Not sure if you figured it out by now, but you can use FSR4 without opting in for mesa-git
I thought that myself before and I was waiting for mesa 25.2 to bring that in. Turns you, you don’t need to wait.
Most games do not have native support for FSR4 at the moment, as AMD didn’t release the SDK yet. The best way to do this, (in some cases even for windows) is to use OptiScaler. I didn’t have a great luck with it before, so I dropped the idea. But recently I’ve decided to check it out. I’ve tried it in games like Cyberpunk 2077 (don’t have the latest update because of mods, so no FSR4 support from the game itself), Path of Exile 2 and STALKER 2. It worked really well. I did lose a bunch of frames comparing to FSR3 but the clarity massively improved. If you need help setting it all up, let me know!
