Nearby airport’s weather observation at 15:00 local has air temperature of 84°F, dew point of 72°F (relative humidity is 66%). That works out to a ‘Heat Index’ (the USA’s National Weather Service measure of heat + humidity) of 90°F — but the Humidex (Environment Canada’s measure of heat + humidity) is 100°F (38°C).
Either way, it is uncomfortable, but the big difference in the systems suggests the calculations are not particularly scientific.
It’s kind of a rollercoaster in terms of the weather currently.
Yesterday we had 30°C, today it would be 23°C at max. Until the temperatures will rise again at the end of the week.
On a different note, as the majority of rivers within Europe such as the Danube only carry very little water, news reports surface quite a lot of historical findings within the riverbeds.

It documents the actual surface- and groundwater levels. As well as the precipitation of the last 6 months. In comparison to historical data.
In short, there are extreme lows, not only for the surface water - but also for the groundwater. It’s not that bad in northern Germany, but due to the lack of rainfall in the southern most parts of Germany, it’s more than concerning. And it won’t get better in the future. The months of June and July this year have been record breaking in Europe.
Edit: This is just one of the water levels recorded for the last two years for the Danube for instance. You can query the database for different time intervals and such. Brown represents lower than usual water levels.

Well, you live in the south and I live in the north of Germany.
It’s usually hotter where “you” are than where “we” are.
We have reached the highest dew point we’ve had in many years: 81°F (27.2°C). Outrageously humid.
Then up to 83°F (28.3°C) which equals the record for the city of Chicago (closest major city). Fortunately for Chicago, they’ve remained a little less humid today.
I remember Oklahoma City back in the 70’s when it was very hot and humid. . . It felt like the asphalt under your feet was silly putty. . . soft. . . the air was thick with humidity. Definitely not pleasant. . .

I’m not terribly far from Uncle Spellbinder.
The soggy air became unstable and we had quite the line of thunderstorms go through the area. The local airport recorded wind of 85 mph before it stopped reporting and I think the wind here was about the same. A home weather station a few miles from here recorded a 97 mph wind gust. Numerous reports of wind gusts above 70 mph. We received approximately 0.85 inches of rain in a few minutes with lots of thunder and lightning. We had a tornado warning (tornado seen visually or by radar), but if it touched down anywhere I haven’t heard. We even briefly lost electricity. Definitely the strongest thunderstorm we’ve had in quite some time.
