I think this is a bug in the Control Centre.
I have a generic machine (Intel everywhere, 9th-generation i5) and had to use the command line to set up the display because the Control Centre throws a fit in the Display tab - I can try to set (say) 200% scaling but nothing happens apart from the Control Centre window appearance becoming corrupted.
Interestingly, this behaviour occurs in EOS and Fedora 38 Budgie spin
