For a motherboard that doesn't suport my 2400g apu it sure does work well

also i didnt have to go looking for where the xmmp profile was hidden in the bios. it was there in bright bold red on the bios screen,

here i’ll list endeavours inxi first

looks like i have enough clearance and wont need the water cooler.

My power supply is about a half inch to deep for this case. Forcing the ssd mount in scratched the sticker on the power supply so I doubt I could return it now. Of course I don’t really need all these ssd and hdd. On physical hdd for backups would be sufficient because this motherboard has 2 nvme slots. One up top under a heat shield and one underneath next to the very heavy backplate.

The fit is really tight and there is literally nowhere to hide cables.

Well the good thing is it supports a lot of newer 5000 series!

yah! funy that. it’s almost as if someone was future-proofing their computer? ahahahahaha!

on endeavour though the 2.5 gigabit ethernet seems not to work. wifi ax works great…

I think there is a special module for that but, not sure you tried it? This is for Realtek . Is that what you have?

Edit: Looks like it!

will let you know shortly…

while i have you here is there a bios setting for virtualizantion? amd-v? i’m struggling to find it on the web… it’s under cbs or csb or something like that?

On my Aorus MB it was under “Tweaker”–>“Advanced CPU Settings”–>“SVM Mode”

Should be a setting for virtualization. It is SVM mode and default is disabled.

now the question is do i cancel the order for the ryzen 5 3600 and stick with my apu until i can afford a 5600 cpu? the 5600 cpu has an overall rated perfomace improvement of 70% while the 3600 is about 30% but it also costs 160$ more and really wants 3700 memory not the 3200 i have ordered. for the moment i am well pleased with my little beast…

Here the Ryzen 5 3600 is $249.00 Cdn and the 3600X is $329.99 Cdn (some available)
The Ryzen 5 5600X is 439.00 Cdn No Stock

Edit: Some are available at $$$ (gouging)

yah… the 3600 is 200$ us and the 5600 is 360$ us i literally ordered the 3600 and 2 32gb 3200 ddr4 memory chips for the price of the 5600 cpu.

Also, i canceled the water cooler. the thing said this case supported a sigle fan all in one water cooler but after all the time i spent putting this together i can assure everyone there is no room for a watercooler anywhere inside this machine. maybe if i mount it to the mesh front someway? but then i’m blowing hot air out the front… a 700watt psu seems like a lot (and it’s a very tight fit) but when gpu prices drop one day i’ll upgrade…

I guess it depends on the cooler. They do make some that mount in the front that are rad like with fans.

Also i booted into windows and used the bios update tool and my system actually updated the bios. took forever. would have been so much easier to go into bios but i wanted to see if gigabyte really does it and they do…
