Folders in dolphin are locked

Hi Everyone,
Wishing for everyone that 2025 is a great year

I just moved my desktop from Debian to Endeavour after trying out the Asus laptop with Endeavour for a month. I am so far impressed.

I have tried to drag and drop a ppd file in the specified CUPS folder and I have seen that there is a padlock symbol on the filepath.

I have also noticed that the owner (root) can view and modify content only, when clicking on endeavouros (and right-click) on the left section of Dolphin.

Can you advise on how I can fix this issue please.

Thank you in advance,
Michael

The command line solution is to use sudo to execute the copy command. Something like:

sudo cp sourcefile.ppd /destinationfolder/

Hello Bink,

Thank you.

Thank you for providing the fix, It has helped.

You can also select Act as Administrator in dolphins View menu to get root permissions in case you prefer a gui method.
