Fluffychat segfaults

Hi, friendly community and forgive me in my mistakes in advance.

I was lately trying to get support for KDE but ended up in a dead circle. I have matrix account and using Fluffychat, but it segfaults on EOS, which did not happen on our mother-of-all - Arch Linux. The message when running on terminal is just this:

(fluffychat:14117): Gdk-CRITICAL **: 10:15:01.966: gdk_gl_context_make_current: assertion ‘GDK_IS_GL_CONTEXT (context)’ failed

I’ve posted this on AUR too, but Fluffuchat guys point me to compositor or GPU driver. Only thing that differs me now from Arch installation vs EOS is Wayland, indeed.

Have you already got solution for that?

Not too sure what the problem is but can confirm it launches when I downloaded it from the github site. Have you considered trying the flatpak version also? It seems to be done by the devs.

oh never saw this one ..

Hey, dear Immortan Joe!

How can I workaround like using Cinny?

As I’ve said - Fluffychat guy point me to driver or compositor - I have no other clues atm. No other log from Fluffy. I like Cinny too, but I’d like to remain Fluffy

Temporary workaround was using Nheko, but it stopped working as I uninstalled Kwallet, that I never liked.

Anyway, Cinny didn’t require Kwallet subsystem, just authorisation from another device, so it looks like better workaround solution, considering that doubling credentials management for Proton pass and Kwallet looks stupid.

KDE probably made KWallet with noobs in mind. It mostly annoys experienced users.
PS: Not saying “noobs” in a bad way. Just mean the average computer user.

KDE as a whole seems to be made for newbies… but only for the first look, as when you get deeper and deeper, you see how complex and rich it is.

I estimate I don’t need 75% of its functionality  someone may ask: so why KDE not some simpler DE or even WM? Answer: because I like.
