Fling trainers don't activate

the issue is the switches dont activate & numpad doesnt work. game is detected by trainers. tried using latest wine & wine-ge. game & trainer on same prefix ofc. normal kernel with kde plasma. happens on all 32 bit games really.

thanks but sadly i saw it and didnt work to me. and i mostly buy gog.

As I understand it Wine/Proton sandboxes everything you launch into its own little process bubble, regardless of whether or not they share a prefix - the trainer can’t see that the game is running and vice-versa.

You need to use something like SteamTinkerLaunch to run them together - adding your GOG games through steam should work fine for the purpose of satisfying the ‘running through steam’ part of the process.

but Cheatengine does work fine… and there’s an indication the game process is detected

anyone has any suggestion? trainer can see the game running, why wont it activate? maybe the game doesn’t detect the trainer?

From what i googled most of the trainers are tested using the Steam or Retail box version of the game. There is no official testing with GOG versions. Some trainers may work but not all trainers will. You’ll just have to experiment…

Again I’m not into gaming so i can’t say. There are some GOG games supposedly that do work but not all will.

i was talking to someone who could run the trainer in the same games as i, same configs and system. we know it isn’t game’s fault but my system. what should i troubleshoot to see why he can and i can’t?

Maybe you need to ask these questions in gaming platform forums where they are using these gaming methods on linux?
