Firefox address bar freeze

Every now and then clicking on the address bar fails, I can’t type in a url. OTOH I Ctrl-l works. Likewise the close tab button may be disabled, I have to do, instead, Right click+Close tab. Any suggestions to resolve this, please?

did you try using troubleshoot mode?
you can find it on help section of firefox

alt+h

if it works then there is something wrong with the current firefox profile you use.
might consider to refresh firefox or reinstall so backup all your important bookmarks, passwords, etc. if you do.
