Few questions after fresh install of EnOS (dual-boot with Windows)

  1. I have an external 4TB HDD, and I’ve used it on Windows exclusively. It is also NTFS formated. Since I run Linux in dual-boot mode with Windows now, can I write to that HDD while using Linux or will that mess it up? I mainly store movies/series there that serve as a library for Plex.

  2. I own RX 6800XT AMD GPU. Are drivers automatically installed to the latest version, or do I have to install them somehow manually? I would like to use radeon-vulken(MESA) drivers, and not AMDVLK.

  3. Do I need to download some kinds of codes in order for everything video related to work properly?

If any other questions come to my mind, I’d reply in the post.

You shouldn’t have any issues with this, my external HDD is several years old and was formated on windows as NTFS.

Not to sure about question 2 - maybe have a look here https://discovery.endeavouros.com/category/amd-gpu/
And for question 3 could you clarify - is this for video playback?

I’d recommend you follow the approach highlighted by pebcak above and spend some time reading the Arch wiki - the vast vast majority of questions are already answered by the information it contains.
