I’ve noticed that in the application menu, the “All Applications” section respects the sort order I choose (in my case, alphabetical). However, the Favorites section does not follow that same sorting. Iit seems to keep items in the order they were added.
For consistency and usability, it would be great if Favorites could also be sorted according to the same rule we apply to All Applications. In my case, I’d like them to appear alphabetically, but ideally this should respect whatever sort option the user has selected.
This would make the Favorites section much easier to navigate, especially for those of us who keep a long list of pinned apps.
Is this something that could be implemented, or is there already a setting I might have missed?
Yer you might need to reach out to KDE and request, I am not sure if it is an option in the default menu as I don’t use it. The menu I use allows me to drag my favourites around to where I want them.
Also, there are alternative starter widgets, which may allow sorting favorites - I am not sure they will though. To find out: right click the button of the start menu to show and select alternatives.
