If I remember correctly I needed to install ‘spice-vdagent‘ package in the vm-guest to make it aware of window size and adjust guest resolution automatically.

Has been a while…

May be an idea to add this package into ISO for playing aroung in a VM?

No, we didn’t do that. It was fastfetch and all the other “fetches” that included us. Our branding and name were there all of a sudden, without us knowing. We also started out with the Arch logo.

This for qemu but i don’t have this on any systems with vmware. I usually only need open-vm-tools. Both ezarcher and straight arch in vm don’t resize on their own when installed without adding the tools and starting the service. I think it only needs the vmwaretoolsd.service but i haven’t confirmed that for sure.

No… it makes it more because Arch is an Endeavour!

I did not remember or know that. I always assumed it was pulling that from os-release. Nice to know. Thanks!

Thank you for your testing. I have made sure that the vmware services are included in the next set of ISOs. The package open-vm-tools was always there, just not the systemd services. Nice catch!
