Extreme Heating issue in HP VICTUS 15fb00xx

On continue use of EndeavourOS approx 3-4 hours the laptop temperature reaches to 96"C

I tried coolercontrol and fancontrol with fancontrol-gui but no effect noticed

In windows the temperature is controlled to 50’C with a software named HP OMEN GAMING HUB

Are you referring to the CPU temperature?

Do you have the latest UEFI Firmware?

Is it the gpu or cpu at that temp

yes

both cpu and gpu

Check if nbfc-linux works for you.

If you are utilizing lm_sensor package for reading the temperature, you should also be able to get readings of your fan. Is the rotation speed at maximum in this situation? What do you mean by “continue use”, is it gaming with high cpu load? And if you put the same cpu load under Windows the temperature is limited to 50 °C, seriously? This processor can dissipate a lot of power, so it is under windows and load condition at 50°C, either your reading for load or for temperature is just wrong. That is just impossible. The idle temperature of this processor should already be in the magnitude of 50…60 °C. Is the fan noise different from the same load conditions under Windows? At the end 96 °C is not a problem, the safe limit is specified with 105 °C.

You can see this be software in windows by hp which helps me to control the fan speed.
I am using pc from 3 hours for devlopment and temperature is normal.

I tried to run this with wine but when i am using wine it does not detect my lapto

So i finally decided to shift on windows :smiling_face_with_tear:
