Ethernet interface disappeared, drivers n/a

So I dont use ethernet much but it used to work, and I tried recently and for some reason, it is just gone. The interface doesnt exist anymore, but the computer sees the hardware.
inxi -n shows this:

Network:
Device-1: Intel Comet Lake PCH CNVi WiFi driver: iwlwifi
IF: wlan0 state: up mac: [dont need to see]
Device-2: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8211/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet
driver: N/A

and lspci -v shows the driver is r8169

Any ideas?

This may be wrong (I didn’t search to see), but I seem to think that driver may have been deprecated or blacklisted?

I checked quick and saw something about it being blacklisted 4 years ago, and more recent stuff saying it was deprecated… So I’m not really sure where to go. I don’t have much experience with drivers.
