From the gamemode github:

Issues with GameMode should be reported here in the issues section, and not reported to Feral directly.

Did you do this already?

While we do have gamers here, myself included, the tool you have chosen to use actually has a support team that are ready to assist.

In case someone here is able to assist, please post the output of “inxi -Ga” from your terminal. This will show information on your graphics devices.

Also, have you actually tried gaming and ran into issues, or did you just assume you need it?

I ask because I’ve played Days Gone and Cyberpunk 2077 on my machine and I’ve never felt like I needed GameMode. I’ve got an an intel i7 (7th gen - kinda old now), and Nvidia Quadro 6GB GPU.

One person made a post with the same issue I have but hasn’t had an update since posting in march so I wasn’t too confident in getting an answer there. I don’t necessarily need gamemode it’s just been useful in other distros for preventing fps drops during more intensive gameplay like a lot of npcs or graphic effects on screen at once.

I see. Well, if it is that you need or think you need it, then go for it.

To confirm: Did you also do a general web search for the issue you ran into, or just a search on their GitHub?

As far as the fail errors are concerned, like I said, post the output or inxi -Ga, please.

Someone here may be able to analyse it and assist.
