First I’d like to mention that I am very new/newb to linux. I try to make the change and escape out of Gates’s arse about once a decade and this is the first time when I think I might actually finally succeed.
So after some googling I chose this distro and I got to say so far I’m liking what I’m seeing, 95% of it anyway, the other 5% is kinda “Yikes!!”. Which begs the following question before we begin(the introduction posts didn’t make this clear) what’s the etiquette here should I make a seperate thread for every problem/error I’m getting or just add all of them to this thread?
Ok, back on topic, so I fire up system settings to install a new cursor, I don’t like what I’m seeing so I keep scrolling down, and at one point I get the error in the picture below. Suggestions?
Hello @VIKINGS ,
The previous cursor download failed ( I guess). Relogin and try another. Two examples:
Layan works from that collection and Oreo but a bit complicated way
Ok, based on your response and on reading through that topic you linked I am afraid we might have a misunderstanding(proly my fault, sorry), so let me try to clarify:
that error does not appear when I click on a specific cursor to install it, I simply scroll through the list to see more cursors and sooner or later the error will pop up. And it doesn’t always appear in the same place, but as long as I keep scrolling it will appear.
The Error I see is a Server Side Error, There is nothing YOU can do. This is generally do to the fact that the particular server is under heavy usage and not able to keep up with its work load.
Ouch, well that sucks…
But thank you for explaining it. I didn’t really see anything I like very much anyway so I am currently looking into somehow converting/ porting my windows cursor over. I just wanted to know if it was something on my side/something I did and can fix.
What about my other question pretty please? Which is more preffered should I create multiple topics, one for each issue, or just add what else I am having problems with here and maybe rename the title of this topic?
For simplistic sake I would say start a new thread for each topic, However, with that said. Make sure that the issue’s are not related so as to not flood the forum with unnecessary post.
