The issue simply is, the Arch package system is unaware of how those files got there, because it wasn’t used to put them there.

This issue really only arises if one circumvents the Arch packaging system, such as using tools like pip. You could try uninstalling those pip installed packages?

If I’m not mistaken, you would do this:

pip uninstall somepackage

When possible, use the Arch package system to install those. I find Python a bit of a pain with respect to this, because some applications have a lot of Python dependencies, and not all of them are available, or well maintained in Arch packages, or the AUR.

The ideal scenario is you’d be able to confirm how those files were put there, and reverse that process (turns out it wasn’t pip though). That’d be the cleanest way to address it.

The alternative, the messy way, is to simply (but surgically) delete all those files, and let yay do it’s work without encountering unexpected files.

If it was installed using yay (or paru, pacman or makepkg), then those errors shouldn’t be occurring. So I’m not sure if uninstall will do the job, but, give it a go! Perhaps note the location of some of those files, and see if they get cleaned up when you uninstall using yay.

Or you can try a “dirty” trick to overwrite all those files in one punch:

sudo pacman -U /home/mind/.cache/yay/input-remapper-bin/input-remapper-bin-2.2.0-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst --overwrite '*'

If you’re selecting clean build when you install, I’d suggest that’s accomplished what you need as far as testing that goes.

Assuming you’ve uninstalled the package using yay, but these files still exist on your filesystem, how you re-install it now is not going to address the issue: the files already exist on the filesystem (edit: unless you force overwrite as @cactux suggests!).
