I find that when I choose the grub boot option, it also creates a 2GiB EFI partition. I’m not sure if that is an error on the forum posts part or an error in the installation process. I would like clarification on that please and hopefully get it fixed soon.
It looks like the increase to 2GB might apply to both systemd-boot and grub. If I’m not mistaken, @daltocommitted that change, so he might be able to confirm.
When it creates an EFI partition, it will always be 2 GiB no matter which bootloader is selected. This was the behavior before the change as well. It was just 1 GiB instead of 2 GiB.
It looks right to me, the installer will create a 2G partition, whereas it used to create a 1G partition. The 1G information may not be necessary at all. I guess it’s for old timers who are used to the old way.
