EPSON ET-2850 printer scanner is not detected by Epsonscan2 but Skanpage does

Hi everyone.

I’ve noticed something strange. I installed the printer drivers (epson-inkjet-printer-escpr) and activated the printer via USB. The printer works, prints, and the scanner is recognized by Skanpage. The scanner works there too.

Epsonscan2, however, doesn’t see it, even setting the scanner’s address to inactive.

Usually, once the printer is enabled, Epsonscan2 should detect it normally without any problems.

Oh yes, I’m on Arch at the moment. I still have to reinstall everything on EOS, but I don’t think there should be any problems there.

This is just a wild guess because I don’t have a Epson printer, but maybe this is also needed

Yes, I installed the plug-in package along with the epsonscan package. I have both installed.

Solved, guys. All I had to do was unplug and replug the USB port.

The mystery remains as to why Skanpage detected it immediately, while Epsoscan2 did not, but that’s okay.
