It looks a lot like the below mentioned topic, but this got solved with a later version of eos-rankmirrors , so that makes me wonder if your system is up to date.

So if I understand this correctly you where able to update , and it is only not possible to (re) rank the mirrors ? Because you started this topic 4 days ago and there should have been updates nearly every day , if not everyday, since you started this topic.

Could you please add LANG=C before the command:
LANG=C eos-rankmirrors
Then the output should be in English.
Well I have used internet translation for the error message after sed: -e that is
Expression line 1, character 120: Inappropriate collation character
The update part is pretty standard and ends with there is nothing to do (as you might expect).
But I agree it would be much easier if we don’t have to do the translation part.
Oh when I just run eos-rankmirrors, it still doesn’t work
But if I run it with LANG=C, it works flawlessly

Just released package eos-rankmirrors version 25.7-1 that fixes an issue that may be related.
Please test it (without adding LANG=C) to see if it solves the issue you encountered.

The problem is not clear but seems related to locales somehow.
As LANG=C works around it, I will make the same workaround into eos-rankmirrors, let’s see if that helps.
