Just wanted to ask what your WiFi and Ethernet hardware are? Is any of it broadcom?

Hmmm - wonder why they’re still on kernel 5.xx… ![]()
Interesting… The CPU clock shows the max turbo speed, assuming this is the 1.4GHz model.
Anyway… that era Mac Mini’s used the broadcom BCM94360CD(or BCM94360CS) WiFi module. The ethernet was Qualcomm Atheros AR8153 according to AI, or NetXtreme BCM57766, at least according to some Linux wiki. I guess it depends on the exact model.
Thanks ….looks like those broadcom chips also use the broadcom-wl package.
I would bet they do. I remember reading up on some of that when I was still using MacOS on my PC and researching about wireless cards. Feels like a lifetime ago now. ![]()
Is there a new trend going on in the forum , because I have seen users react to a 3 year old topic and now to a 5 year old topic, interesting
?
It’s only because of the internet speed.
