EndeavourOS Xfce4 Debloat & General questions

Hello!

So I’m new to EndeavourOS and very ignorant about the workings of linux, arch, and terminals overall. And I was wondering:

  • I’m running on 16gb of total storage, and I usually run between the 2.0-1.7gb mark
  • What’s the best way to debloat this OS and still make it usuable and properly functional
  • What are some of the best things I can do to ensure that my storage stays open while also not limiting myself from future updates.

I’m sorry if these are very basic questions that would seem to be easy to know.

We don’t install much beyond what is needed to run the system and some basic applications.

With such a small storage device, I would aggressively clean the pacman cache. My guess is that will be where a lot of your data usage could be.

Take a look at this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Pacman#Cleaning_the_package_cache

I see, that helped a lot. Went from 1.2GB to 3.4GB
