I have used Proton, Mullvad and now Nord. Mullvad has the best linux app. I’m using Nordvpn now mainly because the Black Friday sales and your allowed 10 devices.

I was reading on the Mullvad site that there is no limit on devices threw your router using wireguard, it only counts as one device.

Installing OpenWrt on your router (Version 22.03.2 has been used here)

First, check OpenWrt's list of supported routers to make sure yours is included.

Installing WireGuard and Mullvad on your router comes with some benefits:

You can secure your whole network and all devices connected to the router.
You can run Mullvad on more than five devices (all devices connected to the router).
Via the router, you can even run Mullvad on devices that have no support for WireGuard.

I’m thinking about using hide.me. 10 devices, wireguard protocol based in Malysia as they have no data retention laws and are not part of the Fourteen Eyes Countries.

Before switching to Linux as daily driver I used F-Secure VPN (earlier known as Freedome VPN) and would be using it still, but unfortunately there is no Linux support. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Perfect, be sure to let us know how good and fast it is.

As far as devices go, Mullvad doesn’t care how many devices you have it on. So that shouldn’t even be an issue. And about $5 a month for a full featured VPN with limitless devices is a steal.

I wouldn’t even consider any other VPN.

I use Private Access Internet because it’s cheap. Not for privacy reasons, but for avoid geo-blocking.

Nordvpn and other big name vpns like them always have a fantastic sale going on. I mean that literally, I have never looked at nordvpn or similar products (the kind that mass advertise on youtube; there were 2 or 3 others, PIA might have been one of them), that aren’t 24/7 365 days a year on some kind of sale.

It’s just a cheap marketing trick and nothing else. You set your product’s price higher, then always have it on discount, put a “sale ends in X hours” but there’s just another identical sale after that time period, always, to infinity.

It’s just to trick people to buy and it works.

@whitewolfAK47 not really, they’re massively overrated and market themselves as products that do things that they cannot generally be trusted to really do.

At least make sure you’re fully informed before you get one.

I have selected other, because I use none.

Snap. I’ve never experienced a geolocation problem and if someone wants to see what I do online, well that’s their problem!

I used to have NordVPN, but I switched to CyberGhost because of its sales. I chose a plan paying about 65 Euro for 2 years and 2 months.
Though I dont like that devices are limited to about 6.

No one’s really tracking you on the internet I don’t think like the government doesn’t care who the f*** you are unless you’re like really doing something terrible but I guess it is good to be hidden

I think just about every1 is tracking you on the internet.
Everything is about data collection .
Not governments tracking you.
