EndeavourOS User for 1.5 Years, Linux User for Quite a While

Hello everyone!

I have been browsing through the rather helpful forum for quite a while now and just decided to join as I have some concerns regarding the latest Arch update regarding the linux-firmware issue. Before this, I would almost always get what I need whenever I search the forum.

I am using EndeavourOS with KDE for 1.5 years already and I am liking it. I use it for work/personal things. I like the terminal-based nature of the distro.

Arch was what I installed on one of the PCs before, as I was experimenting how rapidly I would be able to deploy it to PCs, but since it’s a self-configured distro, that speed is just not possible. Then, I found Manjaro and EndeavourOS. EndeavourOS is what I chose because the KDE installation that I have right now is somewhat similar to my Arch installation. As for rapid deployment, I would say, it’s OK, but not quite as rapid as Fedora and Ubuntu. Anyway, it depends on many factors.

I can say I appreciate what is done with this distro.

I am happy to be part of the community.

speed so subjective. what does ‘rapid deployment’ mean exactly, for context?

And welcome to purple–stay and kick the tires

Yes, it is subjective.

It’s the deployment of OSes in multiple PCs. Fedora and Ubuntu are so very easy to deploy and setup in SME environments.

Cheers!

Yeah KDE+EOS rocks.
