Endeavouros-mirrorlist could not be read?

General system EndeavourOS installation

I type yay into terminal to update and get this

[christopher67@EndeavourOS ~]$ yay
 -> exit status 1
error: config file /etc/pacman.d/endeavouros-mirrorlist could not be read: No such file or directory
error parsing '/etc/pacman.conf'

[christopher67@EndeavourOS ~]$

I even tried to update EOS Mirrors from the Welcome app and get this

==> eos-rankmirrors: error: no local /etc/pacman.d/endeavouros-mirrorlist found, please install package 'endeavouros-mirrorlist'.

endeavouros-mirrorlist is still installed :thinking:

It looks like the file was deleted somehow.

You can recreate it fairly easily.

Save the contents of the below link to /etc/pacman.d/endeavouros-mirrorlist

All these sound strange.
Try with pacman and post terminal output :

pacman -Q endeavouros-mirrorlist
sudo pacman -Syu

If you are still getting an error that the file is missing after putting the file there, you must have a typo somewhere.

What does ls -l /etc/pacman.d show?

Ok i figured it out, my endeavouros-mirrorlist was named endeavouros-mirrorlist.2023.05.02-21.27.38 For some reason, changed it back to endeavouros-mirrorlist and saved what you told me to and re updated EOS mirrors and all is great now.

looks like caused by a failed mirrorlist rank/update… not completed…
