Endeavouros AMD hardware support

Wish i could be more helpful. You should be able to get into a tty if you have installed it.

Sorry, I tried delete the partition and efi and reinstall, but this time, calarameres cannot start properly, everytime I reach the online install option, the window of installer flashed open and closed immediately…

Maybe still not the right time. If I cannot run the set up smoothly, problems will likely to occur in future. So I think maybe I d better wait for half a year for developers to get everything done, then to enjoy EOS :frowning: It is not wise to force it, may take me a lot of time to solve various problems.

And how long should I exactly wait? Can you give me some approximation?

I don’t know exactly what the issues are so it’s hard to say. I just built a new ISO from where it is now with the latest updates. You’ll just have to keep an eye out when a new ISO comes out. Then there will be more updates maybe and try again? Also there is the possibility of other users with this same hardware may come along too which might help. Maybe @dalto has more ideas. :man_shrugging:

only to mention… last one is from [2024.08.23]

@Nuvole
Just wanted to make sure you had secure boot disabled and csm disabled in UEFI bios.

Edit: You can try this ISO as pointed out above. I’ll leave the link up until you download it. Let us know if you have any more success.

Edit: Google link removed

Hi again, after several Months I come back to the forum. So does the current stable version of EOS support my kind of computer?

(base) [Nuvole0217@Nuvole ~]$ inxi
CPU: 12-core AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 w/ Radeon 890M (-MT MCP-) speed: 2000 MHz
Kernel: 5.15.153.1-microsoft-standard-WSL2 x86_64 Up: 3m Mem: 776.5 MiB/7.32
GiB (10.4%) Storage: 1 TiB (1.6% used) Procs: 21 Shell: Bash inxi: 3.3.36

This is the output of my current EOS WSL about my hardware, besides that I also have nvidia RTX 4060 as graphic card

A new kernel 6.12 was released. So, maybe it could help with your hardware: https://9to5linux.com/linux-kernel-6-12-officially-released-this-is-whats-new

I had similar issue while using Pop OS, that it had an old version of the kernel (6.8) and my laptop wasn’t working as expected.

From what I can find it should work even now: https://linux-hardware.org/?id=cpu:amd-26-36-0-ryzen-ai-9-hx-370-w-radeon-890m
