It has been (many many… many) years, since I heard this iconic phrase, but it has stayed jammed in my brain. This is the thought when I installed EndeavourOS on my new gaming laptop - changed hardware so it is a good time to change software, as I have now read that Linux supports new GPUs like Window$ (maybe better) from I what I have been reading.
After I distrohopped a while on the major players and the new “cool” kids that everyone is talking about, I settled on the lowkey genuine cool distro that sits on the back, knowing it is good and don’t have to keep screaming about it.
I can that the OS feels great, it is quick and bug free (till now that is). I am using GNOME, because I like the uniformity and the workflow.
And lastly, the GREAT community.. I lurked in the shadows, reading through guides and posts, and all the answers felt that came from great people, so I decided to join the “ purple tribe”
Welcome, @Kaos_X_Machina, you’ve made some smart choices . If EOS serves you as well as it does me, you’re on to a winner, I’m sure. I’ve been using EOS for 4 years now, on 2 machines, and haven’t looked back.
Good to have you with us! Running on a 9070XT and 7800X3D, and it’s been an exceptional experience. The great thing about rolling distros is that current and newer hardware gets the support it needs sooner. Enjoy the journey!
Going on 2 years now. I completely forgot what monthly distro hopping was. Everything has been converted except for a backup partition on my laptop that runs LMDE and my server that runs Debian. I would convert it but my birth date is almost 10 years.
