I m not going to lie kind of ended up moving everything to google workspace instead of essential email by microsoft more expensive but so much smoother!!!

When i used Geary i loved it, its simple and easy to use and as long as you dont need anything advanced its perfect.

i created an outlook mail a few months ago, it didn’t last 2 weeks i guess, i reported a domain for a filterlist maintaner to work on and m$ blocked my mail saying i was spreading spam, maybe it was my fault, i prefer gmail for my needs.

yes it works with outlook.com, i am certain of that for a fact.

You did change authentication to Oauth2? I stumbled on the same and apparently I missed the note about MS removing plain authentication.
It works at least for me

I use Thunderbird with an gmail, Outlook and iCloud account and everything works flawless.

Yea Geary supports personal outlook.com accounts but just not Office 365 OAuth2 corporate.

And Microsoft has since October 1 officially started shutting off basic auth all together.

Evolution is the only email client on Linux that is worth mentioning. Thunderbird is second.

Agreed big fan of Evolution!!!

Because I’m forced to use more Systems (with different operating systems) and the coming Account Sync feature in Thunderbird, that will be a very strong argument for Thunderbird.
