Elecom mouse not working properly

I’m a noob at this, so it’s the first time I’ve tried to tackle hardware comparability issues other than following turtorials.
My issue is, I have a track ball mouse called a “Elecom Huge” and for what ever reason it’s basic button Right/Left clicks don’t register properly. Also, when hovering the pointer over items such as a window’s minimize, expand and exit icons on the top,or even the menu button and items on the taskbar they are not selected don’t get highlighted as they should. Another example is when hovering over Firefox on the task bar it usually has a thumbnail that pops up. I’m guessing this means that they are not being selected. However the pointer movement itself works fine.

To be clear, I don’t care about the extra function buttons since I never used them even in Windows. The only buttons that matter to me are the regular left and right clicks and the mouse not selecting things when hovering as it normally should.

What’s puzzling is that, for what ever reason it works just fine on another Linux distro, Zorin OS. On Linux Mint, it didn’t work properly and obviously not on Endeavor OS exhibiting the same issue.

I’m running Endeavor OS on two separate systems, and I think both are running kernel 6.12.10 arch1-1. I don’t know if it’s relevant but Linux Mint 21.1 and Zorin OS 17 both runs on 6.8 kernels. (I think) Also Endeavor is basically a fresh installation.

Other basic standard mice work just fine. Naturally, I just have to unplug Elecom and plug in the other mouse. I’m sorry that I don’t know that information to include.

Any help would be much appreciated.
