Some of these vulnerabilities are very old and date back to X11R5 that was released all the way back in 1991.

Wayland is starting to look really good here at the moment.

I like the Phoronix guy. But this is a small article without much context and not a bad word about Wayland despite the title.
Also: Trend Micro as the source. It took me almost 90 minutes to convince them to stop charging credit card and that I didnt want to renew protection (of old lady’s PC). They were bas***ds on 4 continents to me all thru New Years…
…anyways the real enlightenment and the real story is in the 5 pages or more of comments (I’m on page 3) where the the bigger picture is. I recommend the Phoronix commenters on both sides of this debate for micro-context and behind-the-scenes politics.
