Dude, Where's My Icon Theme? (cinnamon)

/usr/share/icons/ (system-wide), or:

so I do that. reboot.

But this has always been a Cinnamon font/theme-thing for me: some installed stuff seen…some installed stuff disappeared.

which of the several theme folders Arch recommends is the one that works?
same with fonts. thanks. cranky. almost beer time.
