Dracula Deep – a VS Code theme designed for long coding sessions

I built a VS Code theme after getting frustrated with dark themes that were dark in the background but still used very bright foregrounds and saturated accents.

Dracula Deep focuses on reducing that visual intensity.

The palette is checked programmatically rather than relying entirely on visual judgment. It also has hue-based syntax differentiation and six distinct bracket-nesting colors.

One part I particularly wanted to get right was making the checks reproducible: the repository contains the contrast-checking script, and the check can fail when the palette doesn’t meet the defined threshold.

I’d be interested in feedback from experienced VS Code users, especially after several hours of continuous use.

Good job.
Now, do you have one for KDE, Kvantum, or GTK 3/4?

Not yet ! Dracula Deep is currently focused on VS Code. I may look into KDE/Kvantum/GTK versions if there’s enough interest.
