Dolphin background goes white

Brand new EOS user and installation here. Coming from Manjaro. Hello!
I want to get working i3wm with dolphin file manager and a dark theme.
I just installed EOS with i3wm. I installed Dolphin. In qt5ct I choose a dark color scheme. It looks ok (almost, because there is a strange artifact on top of window) but as soon as I hover over the dolphin window, background gets white and I can’t read the fonts. Screens attached (dark background is after hitting “Apply” on qt5ct, and white background is after hovering with mouse over dolphin screen)
Using nVIDIA non-free drivers.

do you set stylesheets?

Maybe try setting it through Kvantum? That normally gets better results?

indeed kvantum is working:

simply: yay -S kvantum-qt5 kvantum-theme-arc

Yep. Done that. tried different combinations. Created new Stylesheet. Problem persisted.

is kaventum installed und choosen?
and also show:
cat /etc/environment

Yes! that was it. I forgot I used Kvantum on manjaro i3 also. Just did
yay kvantum
and then went to qt5ct and chose kwantum-dark.
everything went great
