Doesn't FireFox randomly show the unresponding dialogue?

When I use FireFox, sometimes, it shows the unresponding dialogue of Gnome, that has “Force quit” and “Wait”. No matter how much I wait, the dialogue keeps re-appearing, and I could not copy the things that I have already typed on FireFox. The only way to get out of this state is force-quitting FireFox and restarting it.

I think it started to happen a few months ago. I don’t think this happened before that. I’m not sure but this probably often happened when I was typing something in FireFox.

Are other users also experiencing this?

First of all, try to see if the behavior is reproducible in safe mode, which will disable all FF plugins for that session.

To launch FF in safe mode:

firefox --safe-mode &
