Does kde plasma & hyprland conflict

I was curious if KDE plasma & hyprland conflict? When I go into hyprland my themes and icons and whatnot seem to change in KDE plasma… IDK maybe I did something goofy? Anyone else experienced this or should it not really be an issue. Maybe I am just doing something wrong and not aware of it? I like both, but I still like KDE plasma better, so IDK.

No.

I dont know what this means?

The global theme in KDE changed I think and the icon theme… maybe I did do something goofy. Let me try again, logging out of KDE plasma and back into hyprland and see if it happens again. Maybe I did something and was not aware of it.

Yup odd it it seems to have chaned my icons at least AGAIN

EDIT: hold on no it did not i am just crazy sorry

I have this issue with KDE plasma and sway (or i3). You can have them all installed and use them so they don’t conflict in that sense. But KDE plasma tends to control the theme and icons so the gtk theme and icons you had set up in i3 (any gtk window manager) gets replaced by the plasma theme.

The KDE notification daemon also takes precedence and only works with KDE (at least on my system) so, for example, you won’t get a low battery notification in hyprland,
